he cotton supply chain will meet
from July 14 to 16, 2017 for one
more edition of the special din-
ner hosted by the National As-
sociation of Cotton Exporters
(Anea). Promoted on a yearly basis since
2002, the Anea Cotton Dinner will be held
at the Malai Manso Resort Iate Golf Conven-
tion&Spa, inChapadadosGuimarães, State
of Mato Grosso, some 100 kilometers away
from the capital city, Cuiabá. Organizers are
expecting about 500 guests.
According toAneapresidentMarcoAnto-
nio Aluisio, the 16th Anea Dinner will be at-
tended by the most important cotton pro-
ducers in Brazil, besides executive officers
from national and foreign trading compa-
nies involved in the fiber market. Partici-
pants also include brokers, service compa-
nies involved with the cotton market, input
and agricultural machinery suppliers and
members of financial institutions, govern-
ment, textile and chemical industries.
“Our goal is to attract representatives
from several segments focused on cotton
exports, besides passing on to the import-
ers a feeling of confidence in relying on
Brazil as a supplier”, Aluisio remarks. The
administrator also mentions the magni-
tude of the move on behalf of the supply
chain. “Over the years, in which the pre-
vious editions were held, the Anea dinner
has turned into a unique opportunity for
the players of the segment to fraternize
with their peers”, he says.
As usual, the agenda of the event in-
